Hamazgan is a plugin to website of an independent press, which is a platform for creating campaigns and petitions on social issues.
The A/C (Hamazgan) is a plugin to an existing website named HaMakom (literally: “The Hottest Place in Hell”), an independent journalism site, with articles on social issues, human rights and more.
I redesigned their home page and magazine article pages.
Although it supports social change, HaMakom doesn’t suggest courses of action to its readers, except for the ability to respond on social media, and this is exactly why I created The A/C.
Creating an integrative platform on HaMakom site, for opening campaigns on topics raised in articles appearing in the site.
Making the campaign opening process more accessible, by creation ready made forms, that simplify writing and editing.
Creation of a simple and inviting visula language, that will encourage users to act.
Developing an external plug-in, that can enable starting a campaign from any
site on the web.
Enable the begining of a campaign from any article in the website with one click, and transferring to the autofill options suggested by The A/C, or by filling out independently.
Option for advertising (Advertising) the campaign in The A/C including publish
via email or on social media.
Ability to update, promote and follow the campaign all through The A/C
In the website requirements specifications process, I reviewed national and international websites that specialize in creation of petitions, and started campaigns in all of them. I noted where the process became problematic and unfriendly.
After drawing conclusions, I created The A/C, both as part of HaMakom website and as an external plugin, that can fit onto articles from any other site.
Icons and illustrations
I created a visual language for the website with unique icons and illustrations, that will not draw the focus away from the creation of the campaign or from engaging in textual aspects, though creates a lighter atmosphere and motivates visitors to action.
